Nate McGill is an education professional with over six years of experience supporting college students through academic success, career development, and persistence initiatives. Prior to joining DCPS Persist, he held leadership roles at Howard University, the University of Maryland, College Park, and Rice University, where he created impactful student success programs and built strong campus partnerships to strengthen college-to-career outcomes for diverse student populations.

Nate is passionate about working with students from all backgrounds and helping them navigate the path to graduation and beyond. A proud alumnus of Tennessee State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree, and Georgia State University, where he received his Master of Education, Nate is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Howard University. Outside of his professional work, he is an avid runner and enjoys spending time outdoors, often using fitness as a way to reset and stay motivated.
