DCPS Persists Coaches are there for you

DCPS Persists is There for You on Your College Journey

DCPS Persists provides all alumni of DC Public Schools attending college with a network of support. That means events and workshops where you can get tips and strategies for college success, opportunities to connect with other DCPS alumni, and resources to help you on your college and career journey.

In addition, each year, a select group of DCPS graduates are matched with a Coach who works with you one-on-one through your first two years of college. Coaches are matched with eligible students based on the college you plan to attend, so they get to know the place you’re getting your degree.

DCPS Persists Coaches:

  • Help you navigate financial aid, course registration, college-level courses, and more.
  • Check in with you regularly by phone, text, email, or in-person.
  • Serve as a resource when you have questions or run into challenges.

If you are a DCPS alumni or current high school senior in the Class of 2022, please email dcps.persists@k12.dc.gov to sign up today!

Get Ready For Campus With The College Success Summit and Workshops!

Want to join us live? All DCPS graduates heading to college can attend the DCPS Persists College Success Summit each summer and workshops throughout the year. DCPS alumni can get tips on time management, building a course schedule, financial aid, getting involved on campus, and more! Workshops cover timely topics, while the College Success Summit covers the topics students entering college for the first time most need to know.

Check out our upcoming workshops to know what’s coming, or sign up for our newsletter, Forever DCPS, to be the first to know about new workshops and the College Success Summit.
